Basketball Champions League title-holders Iberostar Tenerife recorded a sixth straight victory by thumping Neptunas Klaipeda 90-67 on Tuesday.

Tenerife's defence started with a narrow loss to Ventspils, but they sit top of Group B after winning their first game in Europe under new coach Fotis Katsikaris.

Tim Abromaitis led the scoring for the Canary Islanders with 18 points, while Mamadou Niang proved influential with six points, six rebounds and two blocks in less than 14 minutes on the floor.

MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg matched Tenerife's 6-1 record and joined them on 13 points by coming out on top 72-61 at SikeliArchivi Capo d'Orlando - their 10th triumph in succession in all competitions.

Group B's other matches saw PAOK defeat Ventspils 83-76 and Gaziantep go down 73-68 to Elan Chalon.

SIG Strasbourg retained their perfect home record and place at the Group C summit with an 87-72 win over last season's runners-up Banvit, while Rosa Radom remain rooted to the bottom after being beaten 80-72 by Petrol Olimpija.

EWE Baskets Oldenburg missed a chance to pile pressure on Group A leaders Monaco with a 94-90 loss to UNET Holon, while UCAM Murcia closed in on the Germans by defeating Juventus Utena 93-83 and Aris lost a Group D clash with Oostende 69-67.
